Croatian Library Association has awarded Rijeka City Library with the title Library of the Year. An innovative library has been acknowledged for its great work results. Our library’s community congratulates Rijeka City Library for this well-deserved honour!
Rijeka City Library creates positive cultural atmosphere in the city. The significant award was given because of the library’s activities related to innovations and creativity, the development of high-quality library services, trend-setting solutions, which give more opportunities to the local community members. The title has been awarded on November 11th, 2019 in Zagreb, while celebrating the Croatian Library Day.
Panevėžys county Gabrielė Petkevičaitė-Bitė public library and Rijeka City Library have been partners for several years, sharing best practices, organising traineeships and other joint projects. In 2018, while participating in Erasmus+ project, a few workers of our library visited Rijeka city Library and had the opportunity to meet various specialists, introduce activities, educational programs and projects that are being organised in Lithuania.
Rijeka City Library specialists’ visit to our library is scheduled for the spring of 2020 as part of the agenda for the Erasmus+ project they partake in.
Looking forward to meeting our colleagues!
